Network addresses

Each WatchMagpie network is a plain M3U playlist. Any IPTV player that accepts a playlist address can add one by pasting it, without installing Magpie.

Each network also has a guide address, an XMLTV guide whose channel ids match the playlist's. A player that takes a guide address reads the network's schedules from it.

Adding a network

Channels DVR

From Channels support, Add Custom Channels with M3U Playlists.

1. Add a source in Channels DVR, as you would any other source, and choose the custom channels type.
2. Give the playlist a unique name and set the stream format to HLS.
3. Choose Add via URL and paste the network's playlist address. Channels imports the playlist.

VLC

From the VLC desktop documentation, Media. This checks that a playlist address answers; it does not show a guide.

1. Choose Media, then Open Network Stream.
2. On the Network tab, paste the network's playlist address.
3. Choose Play.
