Lancelot terms of use

Revision 1

The Apache License, Version 2.0 is the license for Lancelot. This page summarizes it; the license text distributed with the software controls.

Copyright and patent grants

Subject to the Apache License's terms and conditions, each contributor grants the copyright rights to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the work and derivative works in source or object form. The license also carries its stated patent grant and patent-litigation termination rule.

Redistribution

The Apache License permits redistribution, with or without modifications and in source or object form, when its conditions are met. Those conditions include providing the license, marking changed files, retaining applicable copyright, patent, trademark and attribution notices, and carrying the applicable NOTICE attributions in one of the forms the license permits.

Trademarks

The Apache License does not grant permission to use contributors' trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names except for reasonable and customary description of the work's origin and reproduction of the NOTICE file.

The hosted endpoint

Ayers Electronics Inc runs a public Lancelot endpoint at https://mcp.ayers.repair/lancelot that searches an index of the public ayers.repair pages. It is offered as is, with no account, no fee, and no uptime commitment, and it is rate limited. Ayers Electronics Inc may change or withdraw it at any time. The software itself is unaffected: run it with your own database on your own machine.

Warranty and liability

LANCELOT IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND. THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY IN SECTIONS 7, 8, AND 9 OF THE APACHE LICENSE APPLY.
